SSTEEL 0 Posted April 13, 2014 Thats impressive my friend, and a familiar sight to my bench these days as I am studying the 7750 movement. Question for you mate. How do you refit the 60 seconds oscillating pinion? I just can’t get it to go into the lower jewel, and when I do, refitting the clutch on top of it, it always screws things up, and only find out its not seated when I check the balance, when it oscillates, and then stops, I know its this darn pinion. Is there a special tool for refitting this pinion, or a certain preferred method?
SSTEEL 0 Posted April 13, 2014 This is the pinion I am struggling with. Not on any particular job I'm working on, its during my practical studying.. 2014-04-13_1507 by Micky.!, on Flickr
slaughterer 0 Posted April 13, 2014 The oscillating pinion on a A7750 is one mean little part to keep seated.
kkz88 0 Posted April 13, 2014 Hi Okay here is problem oscillating Pinion u can see big wheel is below small one is top connection with 60 second wheel use 10x magnification look into it u can see oscillating pinion and 60 second wheel is too close stop/working at the time u can adjust clutch screw when u forward the clutch is close.when u backward the oscillating is not touch with second wheel.(note when u fix oscillating pinion at the time left hand hold the some wood stick push the clutch-right hand do what u need to do other part pit in the movement)use lens.Just like I say I still holding stick I never take off When I put the plate done tight the screw done i release the wood stick.
