profsteve 3 Posted April 12, 2014 Just rec'd the Pam 186 A7740. When setting time there is occasional hitch when moving hands (almost like something is catching on inside). After mainspring is wound sometimes keeps fine time for a few hours or so but then the hour and minute hand stop. Don't really want to send back to China and you guys were quite helpful in helping me diagnose a bad winding stem tube issue a few days ago so here I am again asking where I should start looking. I have no problem finding a watchmaker in the US and having him fix if necessary but I really want to learn as much as I can as I go. For me that is a big part of loving watches.
