Finally decided to purchase my PAM 177n from toro. Just a questions. What is the difference between the asian 6497 and the swiss 6497. Is it worth the $170?

Asian is a good movement mate, I wouldn't bother (and didn't) but it's personal choice.

Me neither, you will not be disappointed with Asian.

Go with Asian, whatever that Swiss ETA is, it's most likely not.

As above said it is not worth

Read in PAM GUIDE of PAM 111, more comments about this matter:

Talking about reps fitted with Unitas 6497 movements, please read an extract below:

There are replica versions fitted with “Swiss” movements. These "Swiss" movements are not the same of the original mounted in the current gen watches. They are, at best, a "cheap Swiss" Low beat movement with a "cheap" Novodiac shock protection system instead of Incabloc and with an horrible Swan Neck, the same or worse than which you can find in the replicas. The advice is: Save your money and get the good and accurate enough Asian movement.

From Dec 2012 there is a Swiss movement version (TimesShop) with a perfect Incabloc, but they are Low beat and have an horrible wrong Swan Neck typical of Noob. They are no worth in my opinion.

So many beautiful straps to choose from! Haven't ordered my PAM 177n yet. Inquired with Toro a few weeks back and sadly it was OOS. Went over to TSwatch and was also OOS :(

I was just wondering though. Toro's PAM (http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=35_52&product_id=566) and TSwatch's PAM (http://www.tswatchltd.com/noobfactory/12517-xfpn177-pam177-n-noobfactory-ti-lt-2012-ultimate-best-1-1-asian-6497.html). Are they the same? If not, who has the better rep? Thank you!

I am new Pam's and never heard of the brand before I joined this forum. I really like this Model especially on the brown leather strap.

Is the crystal domed shape on the 177 or flat? And does it have AR?

Who is the best TD to but from?

Thanks for help
