kolchak 17 Posted April 28, 2014 My local watchsmith says the axle is shot on a 7753 and he can't source parts. I've asked couple repair folks here but no luck....would appreciate any suggestions.... TY, K
SSTEEL 0 Posted April 28, 2014 Axle? Who's this mechanic? Sorry, watchmaker lol What issues were you experiencing with the watch?
kolchak 17 Posted April 29, 2014 LOL....engine wouldn't turn over because it wasn't getting gas to the carbs... Actually, the rotor came off & now the little screw supposed to hold the rotor in place won't stay attached. He might have said "axis" or meant the rotor bearing, I'd take a pic if my I-phone camera could focus on something that small. thanks!
SSTEEL 0 Posted April 29, 2014 Ah the rotor screw thread is stripped from the bridge? That should be an easy enough repair I would of thought.
kolchak 17 Posted April 29, 2014 He works on my reps under protest so he doesn't try very hard. There was nothing for the rotor screw to grab on to - is that the bridge or the bearing?

Bridge, easy fix, if your watchsmith needs the part I have a spare one PM your addie and I'll ship it over so he can fix the watch.
