Pob 73 Posted August 30, 2010 My wife just announced that she wants me to buy her a Rolex She said that, i spend to much time on this forum and that i can at least do something useful, like buy her something She likes Rolex Daytona ( around 40mm not sure, not Rolex lover ). I need any assist on where to look for one? I want the Swiss ETA or 7750 version only! Should i write to Mary to source it for me or should i try someone else? KBH 7 Posted August 30, 2010 Mary can get you one. Just find a picture or link to what you are looking for and send it to her. Swiss eta versions are pretty rare and awful expensive if you find one, but the latest versions of the A7750 seem to be pretty decent. I'd do a little research on the Daytona models in general as they are sometimes not the most reliable watches. Make sure you get a good warranty from your seller. It is my fault, I bought one long time ago from some bad dealer in China ( like special offer if you buy few watches, Daytona was a gift or something ) and she liked it right away! The seconds hand located in the 6 o'clock position is known to have problems with the A7750 movement. The seconds located in the 9 o'clock position is what the A7750 was made for. However this is the older version of the daytona. I think 2000 or 2001 was the model for the seconds at 9. At any rate, you could get the 21J and have no worries, just let her know the chrono's will be faux with the 21J. hope this helps Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
