New DG 2813 Movement.Replacing the date wheel with correct one.Any suggestions?

So here it is! My new DG 2813 movement that came in today, the only problem is that the date wheel is to far to the left! :/ so looked at my old 2813 movement and saw that the proper date wheel is on top of a wider date wheel that makes it fit so I took that off my old movement and am now in the process of contemplating of how I should go about taking off the date wheel on the new DG 2813 movement and putting the old date wheel on the new DG 2813 movement! I'd really like some suggestion and tips of this before I go into doing this so I don't mess anything up and how to do this much easier

Does that whole piece of metal with the white on top come off or just the white top?

Im pretty sure on the dg2813 the dwo is glued or applied to a metal disk of sorts.

Yeah. It is really strong. I'd avoid physical pressure. To the disk directly.

X-Acto knife is your friend when it comes to removing DWO's.

Wouldn't it be easier to just swap the date wheels over?? You've only got to remove the date wheel plate from the movement??

I thought that originally, then suspected the date wheel is different from the non-DG to the DG?

IMO changing the date wheel overlay is easier than changing datewheel. Too many bits fall out when you take off the date wheel for my liking. A Ssteel says Xacto is the way to go.

That what I did lastnight and now I'm looking for this little spring that shot in my face ant find it so was hoping someone could tell me what it is and where I could buy them?

There's a seller on ebay that sells individual parts for eta movements, but seeing as this is your DG movement, I am unsure if they are the same, or even serve the same purpose.

 

The same looking spring is found here on an ETA 2836 & 24 movement..
