Mariss 0 Posted May 3, 2014 So here it is! My new DG 2813 movement that came in today, the only problem is that the date wheel is to far to the left! :/ so looked at my old 2813 movement and saw that the proper date wheel is on top of a wider date wheel that makes it fit so I took that off my old movement and am now in the process of contemplating of how I should go about taking off the date wheel on the new DG 2813 movement and putting the old date wheel on the new DG 2813 movement! I'd really like some suggestion and tips of this before I go into doing this so I don't mess anything up and how to do this much easier The new movement The old date wheel placed on a larger date wheel to position the numbers correctly And the new movement in a close up shot

zinnboy 0 Posted May 4, 2014 What I'd do is pull up and evenly. Though i know that dwo sometimes are glued.

zinnboy 0 Posted May 4, 2014 Im pretty sure on the dg2813 the dwo is glued or applied to a metal disk of sorts.

zinnboy 0 Posted May 4, 2014 Yeah. It is really strong. I'd avoid physical pressure. To the disk directly.
Mariss 0 Posted May 4, 2014 Any suggestions of how to get tht off?

Odyseus 1 Posted May 4, 2014 Wouldn't it be easier to just swap the date wheels over?? You've only got to remove the date wheel plate from the movement??

Dr Yan 8 Posted May 4, 2014 IMO changing the date wheel overlay is easier than changing datewheel. Too many bits fall out when you take off the date wheel for my liking. A Ssteel says Xacto is the way to go. If you really want to change the date wheel here's a link that helped me http://www.watchstuff.org/?p=

JSJ 0 Posted May 4, 2014 This movement swap was the first watch mod I ever did. I swapped the datewheel. Here is the thread http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?/topic/65809-What-is-this-movement-please?-Where-can-I-buy-one? I probably should change the thread title so people can find it. That what I did lastnight and now I'm looking for this little spring that shot in my face ant find it so was hoping someone could tell me what it is and where I could buy them? SSTEEL 0 Posted May 4, 2014 There's a seller on ebay that sells individual parts for eta movements, but seeing as this is your DG movement, I am unsure if they are the same, or even serve the same purpose. The same looking spring is found here on an ETA 2836 & 24 movement.. 2014-05-04_2117 by Micky.!, on Flickr
