Martinjogs 0 Posted May 14, 2014 A little play on the 'Dunroamin' as I've recently retired and now have time to do stuff I want to, instead of stuff my employer wants me to do! Anyway, today was sunny, so I dragged my collection out into the garden to see if I could get a few decent pics on my iPad - I still don't own a camera! So, this is what I've arrived at after much buying, selling and horse trading and I am happy with the result. Box one is my vintage Rolex collection. These are a gilt dial 6214, a DRSD with faded gen insert, a Space-dweller, a Comex 5513 and last but not least a WM9 V1 sub with Caddell insert. Box two is a motley collection of watches that I ended up liking; nothing too big, a bit of variety, nothing blingy. I will leave you to work out what they are, a few of modest gens in the mix. Box three finally, plus odds and ends are the remnants of my collection, one or two gems and one or two oddities. And for the sake of full disclosure - yes, there are 3 Swatches in there but in my defence they are there for a reason. So, from now on no more purchases required. Might trade the odd one on M2M just to keep my hand in but otherwise I am more that satisfied with this lot. Thanks for viewing!

Martinjogs 0 Posted May 23, 2014 Those vintage Rolexes are beautiful. Details on those wood boxes? The boxes I picked up pretty cheap considering the quality. The Hillwood 12 slot was an eBay purchase where I got lucky...I paid £70 delivered...no other bidders. The 5 box was a standard new purchase Mele, for about £25. Finally, the single watch was a curious purchase, I bought the box and a crap Uri Geller watch off the Bay for £5 delivered...the watch is truly awful but the box is great.
