umecha 0 Posted June 2, 2014 I opened up my Ebel 1911 at the weekend to try and sort what was causing the datewheel to stick and not fully turn over by itself, and to put ETA day/date wheels on when it was open. It looks like the date jumper is sticking before the date fully turns over, at the position you can see in the pic. The head of the jumper should be right down between the two datewheel teeth. Has anyone had this trouble before and sorted it? My next thoughts are either new spring (or jumper), or polish the mating face of the jumper. The top plate and jumper have been oiled according to ETA spec, so I don't think that's the source of the problem (plus it was dry to begin with when I had the same problem).
