debian 0 Posted September 22, 2010 If a watch is speeding a few seconds a day you can compensate with the position of the watch at night. I read it here somewhere but now I can't find it... Witch position will make the watch run faster or slower? watch on crown watch on the other side of crown watch on the back watch on the glass
AlphaLima 17 Posted September 22, 2010 In theory, if you put it in a watch winder which just so happened to spin the watch at the speed of light, it would slow it down. But i'm not so sure if that's practical. And i'm certain that they don't sell those on the 'bay. Actually, just ask Mary, i bet money she could source one. Brightlight 0 Posted September 22, 2010 This is the instructions from Rolex. However these do rely on the movement being in good condition with the correct amplitude and beat, and not magnetised - SIMPLE REGULATING If your watch loses or gains a few seconds per day (remember, there are 86,400 seconds in 24 hours), you can correct it without expert aid. The rate of a watch varies slightly depending upon its position. Take it off at night and place it as follows: TO GAIN A FEW SECONDS: Lay your watch flat with the dial uppermost TO LOSE A FEW SECONDS: Lay the watch vertically with the winding-button downwards TO LOSE RATHER MORE SECONDS: Lay the watch vertically with the winding-button uppermost
