wop54 0 Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone. 12 or 15 years ago, during a short business trip in Thailand (Medical Congress) I bought this rep and payed for it some 30 or 50 USD (do not remember the exact amount, but it was cheap). I certainly did not discuss the price and probably the rep's real value was even lower than that. The rep is heavy and strong as a mule, the width of the dial is 40 mm and it is 13 mm thick. It has always worked nicely ever since. I have never swimmed wearing it but took hundreds of showers in it and i regularly washed it under the water, with soap. If the watch worths any comment... what do you experts think? Ive always been surprised of the long life of this cheapie watch. Sorry for the doggy pics quality, taken using my old iPhone... If you have read to this point, thanks for your attention . Edited July 25, 2014 by wop54
wop54 0 Posted July 26, 2014 (edited) I think you have brother of my father's "Casino Watch" ... as I wrote about, over a month ago. I bought it for him 10 yrs ago, for 45$ during a trip to New York City ... to bring him a gift from America. Here is a link ... compare photos ... tell to me, what do you think? Same watches??? His Casino Watch is a robust watch and 10 yrs later, still keeps time well. Pearl that I created (original subject of post) is still intact and I think it will stay in place for a very long time. Father's watch says hello to your watch! ))) "My 1$ Submariner Pearl" http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=80304 So could we say they are "brothers in arms"? :-) I add this pic to have another clue if they belong to the same family, it certainly keeps time and works well and seats at my wrist as Im writing this reply... I do not remember if it had a hologram and if i removed at some point. Interesting is your thought, in your nice and well written post, that back in 2004, 45 USD was the price for a good replica, it's certainly so but I have different memories as I recall mine as one of the cheapest.. Thanks for linking your post, cheers! I think you have brother of my father's "Casino Watch" ... as I wrote about, over a month ago. J!m 289 Posted July 26, 2014 That is not the worst sub I've ever seen! I actually like the crown and the clasp looks like a 9315... Keep me in mind if you decide to upgrade your rep!
Daywatch 4 Posted July 27, 2014 Hi, the date magnification is terrible - and that´s it. The dial could be better but is acceptable, the caseset I actually think it´s quite good, the sideview is thin and elegant as well (+). No wokky rehaut at all (which means it´s much better than many cheap-priced ones). This could be worth drilling up the lugholes and putting 2 mm springbars in. It´s a very nice watch to improve in a little project.

ww12345 0 Posted July 31, 2014 Not really. Gen subs have a much stronger mag, so it's usually pretty obvious. That said, nice watch for the money!
thorne 3 Posted August 1, 2014 Man it's amazing to see how far the reps have come in 15 years.
