RevBob 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Wow! I just this minute received this Panerai from Robert. What a beautiful watch! I was always drawn to more conservative watches, thinking that the Panerais were too big and a bit "clunky" looking. After a couple of days browsing this and a few other sights (sorry RWG) I began to change my opinion and started to appreciate their unique look. I saw this 090 power resrsve PVD listed and very reasonably priced to boot. I pulled the trigger and placed the order. Am I glad I did! I must repeat, what a beautiful watch !! Delivery was SWIFT too. I also discovered "ammo leather" watch bands. Wow again. Not sure I will order an ammo band for this, but I am tempted. I guess I should give myself some time withn the watch first. The ammo straps are a bit pricey (some more than I paid for the watch), but they are stunning. So I am not sure I can justify spending as much or more on a band than I did for the watch. Before I found this site I never heard of PVD coating or ammo style bands. Guess I am in the panerai camp now. Thanks all. Rev Bob

mondeov6 0 Posted October 1, 2010 Congrats Rev! The 090 is a great looking watch. I got one myself, only mine is with the polished case. When I joined RWG I was not much of a Panerai fan myself but now I have got the 090, two Pam homages from Getat Watch and last week I ordered another one from Tat, a beautiful sterile 44mm Rose Gold Black Sandwich Dial. So.... they definitely grow on you! Enjoy your 090! :P ohhh..... picture please!
RevBob 0 Posted October 3, 2010 Thanks everybody. I will try to get pics and learn how to upload them. I know what you mean. I like pics too! On another note: What does the term "sterile" mean as relates to a watch? I have seen listings and posts using this term and wondered as to what it means. Thanks again; RevBob
