Repairs in Australia?

Recommended Posts

Rupert

Hi All.

New to the forum and glad I found you.

I have a Cartier Santos Automatic which i bought in Bali.

It is a "simple" one with no date or "other" dials".

Worked OK until the winder and stem came off!

It is still working however would like to get in fixed.

Anyone in OZ who fixes them?

Thanks

Oh, wrong side of the country for most of the smiths I know of.

It's probably an A21J MVT so it's a matter of replacing the MVT rather than repairing as I doubt it's the stem, more likely the

retaining catch in the keyless works has broken.

I could do it but by the time I sourced a MVT and did the job you would be looking at the better part of 60 bucks

plus postage.

Thanks for that. I'm rather "attached" to it so would be prepared to send it and at least "cast your eye over it".

This might be a silly question but could it be converted to a battery mechanism? I've become very wary with "cheapie" automatics through bitter experience!

If it's any easier you can email me direct on [email protected] or even phone on 0403 422 486. I'm happy to phone you.

Let me know and thanks again for your help.
