My grandad's Rolex, fake or gen?

Recommended Posts

malloc

My Grandad used to own a lot of watches and I've found some of them recently, including this "rolex". I'm pretty confident it's a fake, but I know absolutely nothing about rolexes. Better to check before I do anything with it.

The movement is definitely wrong, it's labeled "s epson corp" which I think means it's a seiko quartz movement. He did repair a lot of watches though, so it's possible he swapped this in. It doesn't fit the case very well.

Can anyone confirm it's a fake?

If it makes you feel any better, it is a vintage rep! (as opposed to a rep of a vintage). B)

If he did the movement swap himself, that kinda makes him an OG of the rep world!!! ;)
