Poolsfinest 1 Posted September 3, 2014 My 3rd foray into the world of reps since my joining the forum. AP 2014 Black Themes from the J12 maker. Ordered from Toro with a minimum of fuss. On that TD you seem to pay just a little more but get a perfect (if slightly brusque) service. Well recommended by me. Order to door in around 5 days (including a weekend when delivery wasn't possible). The watch really is spectacular. Very high quality and I can't find a single flaw to my somewhat inexperienced eye. That said, at this price I would expect something along these lines! The dial is very nicely detailed, as is the movement. The movement runs without fuss. Starts up pretty much instantly currently. The strap is nice for me. A little stiff and my wrist is right at the end of its usability, but it certainly seems like decent quality leather and the stitching is nice also. The watch carries a serious weight on your wrist. I like this, others may not. I actually expected it to convey slightly more size than it does on my wrist. It is quite an understated size whilst oozing a bit of class. Onto the pics. Gave my new mini tripod and light tent their first run out. A combined total of about £12 off of ebay. Hope you enjoy. Any questions I will do my best to answer.

italiano17771 0 Posted September 4, 2014 These J12 straps seem to be much better quality than the Noob straps, which I think we can all agree, are horrible! Have you ever owned a noob APROO? If so, can you compare the straps or give your thoughts on this one and if there is a need to buy an after market or is this one descent quality? thanks for the pics! Ordered volcano , both 2014s today... so i'll see what they are like soon...

Poolsfinest 1 Posted September 4, 2014 I haven't owned a Noob ROO so can't compare straps. That said, I have zero complaints to make against the J12 version beyond the comments above. I could possibly say additionally that the hornback is too symmetrical if that makes any sense. Quality of leather and stitching is good. The clasp is quite stiff but I'm working on that. Will post a wrist shot later.

Will post a wrist shot later. It's got to be symetrical.... it's not HB but the print is the best i've seen strap .... on `BB anyway.... The stitching is excellent as well.... can honestly say... my $300 AP bands straps are no better .... and my gens are not far off it either.... Besides nearly all the specialist strap makers use some form of inserts in the HB WD40 on the clasp...
marressey 0 Posted September 4, 2014 Beautiful pics and nice write up. I'll be looking at this over at Toro's now...

Will try some WD40 or baby oil on the clasp. I take it a bit of overspill won't harm the strap?

Of course the correct way would be to take the clasp off.....and give it a WD40 bath With all the threading issues .. the less you use a screw driver on reps the better imo So if your not going to then I would cover the strap carefully with cling film with a little tissue paper inside just in case...and spray from on top downwards only
