kier333 0 Posted September 4, 2014 I am in the market for a sub ND, ceramic or classic. What's the best at the moment, I realise the V4 sub date from perfect clones is good, but I don't want a date!!

GenTLe 1,510 Posted September 4, 2014 I think that if you want the best vintage sub, then you can get this one: http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/84/5a/fb/sottomarino-toti.jpg But it may be a bit heavy or uncomfortable on the wrist. Otherwise, for something more modern, this is out of doubts the best one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarov-class_submarine

seclark007 11 Posted September 4, 2014 I believe this is the first ask for the month of September, so cut the Op some slack... I'm sure he missed the 87K threads from last month on this topic. S
kier333 0 Posted September 4, 2014 I assumed the V4 is about the best at the moment, I just wanted to know if Nything better was about!
Daywatch 4 Posted September 4, 2014 All classic are better made otb as they have been around and improved for much more time. Gen parts if needed cheaper and easier to get. The ceramics, well, if they have the glidelock clasps they are more comfortable. For over 1/3 more Noob is charging and still with flwas I´m leaning more and more towards BP till something new comes out. Actually my favourite ND and probably long-term most reliable is this innacurate latest acquisition - a 5513 for just $118, perfect pr and time-keeper and very pleasant to wear:)

BC1221 44 Posted September 4, 2014 if i were in your shoes and wanted a sub and only a sub, id just order a TC V6 and be done with it. ive been through a few subs and nothing comes close to a TC. ive settled right now for a modded 1680 and a noobmariner but i plan on just ordering a TC sooner or later. im not a fan of the Ceramics though so if thats your thing, then go with BK. ceramic sub just looks like shit compared to the classic. i wish there were still a few 16610 options with lug holes. that would be awesome. StormyNight 0 Posted September 4, 2014 A Rolex Addict modded 5512 is the correct answer.
BC1221 44 Posted September 4, 2014 most noobs dont care too much for modding/modded watches from what i can see. it takes a while to appreciate the kind of work thats done by guys like RA vintage pieces are also a acquired taste imo. usually, noobs are blown away by the first 21j rep they get because its WAAAAY better than what they expected or its not close to a gen so they get pissy, file a PP dispute and get banned. never to be heard from again. . plankton 1 Posted September 4, 2014 In reality the man is shopping for something that makes sense. I'm willing to bet if he stretched the ND Sub gen would be within reach. So to look good go to Toro's site and get the latest version of the Sub.
