Phizzy 0 Posted September 28, 2014 So as some of you may know, I'm just starting to get into making my own straps. I'm waiting for some leather to turn up in the post and starting to suffer withdrawal from strap making. I have the below piece lying around which is a bit 'different'. If you want a free strap made, post a picture of the watch you want it for and it could be yours!
akelkun 0 Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) It might match my Bronzo with "vert de gris" patina and oxydation... And of course the Dial color... What you think ? 8^) Edited September 28, 2014 by akelkun
KarmaToBurn 1,419 Posted September 28, 2014 Cool piece of leather and nice offer! I think it would look pretty sweet paired with the brass case and green dial of my Maranez Layan
Phizzy 0 Posted September 28, 2014 Are both of those 26mm lug width?
Phizzy 0 Posted September 28, 2014 Nevermind, found the answer, bronzo is 26mm and maranez is 24mm. Think it might be a bit bright for either of those but who knows. I'm going to give it until tomorrow evening to see if any others in the mix and then make a decision.

Phizzy 0 Posted September 28, 2014 Are you sure Ramirez? What is it they say aboutblue and green?
hramirez1966 0 Posted September 28, 2014 HAAA... I think it looks good. These usually come with a green canvas band. Besides... Green is the color of harmony and balance, Green symbolizes hope, renewal and peace, and is usually liked by the gentle and sincere. Greens are generally frank, community-minded people, fairly sociable but preferring peace at any price. Green people can be too self-effacing, modest and patient, so they may get exploited by others. They are usually refined, civilized and reputable. Blue represents soothing, compassionate and caring, Blue is the color of deliberation and introspection, conservatism and duty. Patient, persevering, conscientious, sensitive and self-controlled, Blues like to be admired for their steady character and wisdom. They are faithful, but are often worriers with somewhat inflexible beliefs and can be too cautious, and suspicious of flamboyant behavior. The Blue-Green combination is exacting, discriminating, poised and attractive, the Blue-Green person tends to be sensitive, intellectual and refined, persevering and stable if rather detached. Blue-Greens have excellent taste, and are usually courteous and charming, capable but often refusing help or guidance. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Sure the color of the leather piece is flashy green, but when you wear a "little" Bronzo it's already flashy. I think the strap will make the watch furthermore desirable. For me the little marks on the leather is in the same spirit of the Bronzo's patina, it will live thru the "adventures" of the happy wearer. Thank you for the offer, it's rare nowadays. Yake. James. 4 Posted September 29, 2014 Woah, pretty sweet gesture! My picks would be one of these three, big, chunky watches on which a bright-arse green strap wouldn't be amiss. Helberg CH6 (24mm) VDB 2014 and 2011 (28mm)
RussP 22,358 Posted September 29, 2014 Very generous offer, Phizzy. Lovely watches Jimbo !!
Phizzy 0 Posted September 29, 2014 This is getting tough....don't think the piece I've got is wide enough for a 28mm - great watches though. Any more for any more?
James. 4 Posted September 29, 2014 Thats ok, the helberg is 24mm
Genius 281 Posted September 29, 2014 I'd like one for my PAM but there are a few already posted that would probably suit the green better than mine
