KBH 7 Posted October 24, 2010 Supposed to be gen from the late 70's. I bought it from a reputable seller but on eBay, who really knows. It was right around $100 for the strap and $100 for the buckle. From two different sellers. I also have a rep buckle just like it, other than the markings and it's already peeling the gold plate off. That watch was a first attempt at putting a gen dial in a rep case. After that marginal success I moved on to gen cases and ended up with these three. The silver now has a gen jubilee bracelet from the proper period.

KBH 7 Posted November 2, 2010 WOW! Looks good. I don't know about the polishing. Didn't know the new ones were polished. That particular dial reminds me more of the older Rolexes.

NFleischer 4,355 Posted November 2, 2010 Yes, I think the lugs need to be finoshed abit more. Does look good! Do you mean polished or filed down ? Honestly, I'm not sure if the older 36mm gold gen DD/DJ had polished lugs. I think at least some more finishing with a nice brushed/satin finish if that's what it should have. For example, the picture on page 1 seems to have polished lugs.

Yes the picture on page one is the newer model 118205 if you google it you will see that they all have polished lugs or all the newer presidents have polished lugs.
