How does the day date function work on this movement ? Does it snap tightly at 12 like a rolex movement or it transitions smoothly from 11-12 ?

With a gen ETA, they both turn sharply at 12.

Snap...but the opposite way to that of a 3035 or 3135.

So the rolex date turns clock wise or anti clockwise?

Rolex use both clockwise or anti clockwise direction depending on the movement, but the ETA movement runs clockwise, unlike the 3035 which runs anti clockwise. If I remember correctly the 3135 and 3055 datewheels turn the same way as ETA.

EDIT : Just checked that, yes the 3135 and 3055 are clockwise.
