Gen 1956 Gold Seamaster (pic heavy)

Recommended Posts

scope

Just finished restoring this 1956 Gold filled Omega Seamaster. It has the very first Omega auto movement(470). I am still looking for a 18 mm brown croc strap but have found the 14 k gold buckle. Let me know what you think. I think it's a keeper! :lmao:

Yep, that's a keeper, very nice piece, vintage automatic Omegas are well worth collecting, plus side is that you don't see many reps of this style, only one I ever saw was this one from the old TTK catalogue, which I thought was nice also :lmao:

I agree Baldrick. That's a good looking rep! If it was still around I might pic that up.

I hate to be like I'm thread crapping, but I do love my old vintage SeaMaster. This is a picture that Rex The Watchman took when he serviced it. They are just such beautiful old watches. I like yours even better, though.

Speaking of rice bands, anyone have any suggestions on where to pick one up?

Just a few pics of the ss on the case. Was thinking of getting it gold plated. All of the gold ones were in pretty bad shape but I kinda like the ss\gold contrast.... Any thoughts?

Looks great! Not so sure about the gold/silver contrast though. Seems a bit afterthought and tacked on in my opinion.
