ellistyle1 0 Posted October 16, 2014 Just picked this up on walletfriendlywatchforum. I think I have the Seiko bug officially. I really like the dial, but I am not a huge polished ss fan. I might try my hand at doing some of my own mods. I just bought a $20 watch tool kit from amazon so I am nearly ready to open up shop :P (I've never had the balls to crack open the back of a watch before). Lars_St 0 Posted October 16, 2014 Simple and elegant, I like it!
ellistyle1 0 Posted October 16, 2014 Better on leather. Also end links are bitch.
BenjaminButton 149 Posted October 18, 2014 Much better on leather. I think all watches look better on leather. Steel, glass and leather with a great dial is the perfect combination for me. I wonder if seiko are fully aware of the mod market. Off for some Google research.

Pharmo 33 Posted October 18, 2014 Wow! Truly stunning pick up mate. Agree - looks great on leather
Odyseus 1 Posted October 18, 2014 Nice job ! just bought a knackered SKX007 and I'm going to give it the Yobokies BlackBay makeover
ellistyle1 0 Posted October 18, 2014 I bought this one already modded. I like it too much to tear it down (being an extreme novice). But I just placed an order from yobokies for a dial destined for a new build. That is I sent money to yobokies but the ordering set up for him is rather precarious. ShovelnTC 31 Posted October 18, 2014 Yep the Seikos are a great choice, wearing my FFF version right now!
TRANSPORTER 1 Posted October 19, 2014 Ellis whats the movement and case number of that seiko, looks perfect for a mod I need to do, it's that bezel that does it for me, cheers mate
ellistyle1 0 Posted October 19, 2014 The movement is 7s26. I think the actual model is/was SNKK31. I think I want to blast the bezel. Can I pry it off? Does the crystal come with it?
TRANSPORTER 1 Posted October 19, 2014 I think if you look around the lower edge of the bezel there might be an indent to allow you to prize off the bezel, if not its a case of getting a case knife and popping it off as with any other bezel. It might be part of the sealing for the crystal though. Let me know how you get on ok.
Mazz 62 Posted October 20, 2014 I dont think its sealing for the crystal.........just get a thin knife and the bezel should pop off...............
