gez45 0 Posted October 29, 2010 Hi, what's the story with the blue tint,? is it something that Gens have and people just don't like, or is it a dead giveaway of a rep. personally I dislike it, cheers.
greg_r 81 Posted October 29, 2010 Some rep AR (anti-reflective coating) has a blue tint. Yes, it bugs most of us - some watches are relatively okay, but it varies from model to model. My experience is that it seems to have gotten a little better of late (at least, I haven't had one that was overly blue in quite a while), but YMMV. Be careful what you buy - read others' reviews. You'll soon find out if there is a problem with a particular model The AR can be stripped if necessary - although at a cost. Alternatively, you can also have the AR re-done by someone like FineDD over at RWI (also at a cost, obviously). Personally I have one watch that has had the AR stripped, but the others are all okay...
