graman 2 Posted October 31, 2014 Without joking, this is a rarity. I will make a few of these, but in a cambridge, it's very rare, particularly with creamy coloured Mammoth Ivory. You can see on both sides of this one, the amber within the splits in the tusk There's a lot of labour in this, and finding stable Mammoth in a piece large enough to make a Cambridge is a rare feat, hence the high price. I have some other Mammoth Ivory which I will cut and make over the coming months, however it's more caramel, as it's come from the less frozen South of Siberia...This stuff is obviously northern, from my research. This one is highly prized, being creamy, and in my opinion, the amber is a bonus. One of about 3 that I'll make this year. Brace now for the price - $2500usd plus shipping. Shipping costs and conditions are via pm. Now...For that lofty price, you have the Cambridge hardware in Rhodium and black titanium, however you receive both Rollerball and fountain nibs, with a piston filler. I seriously wish I could get one of these masterful pens. The amount of time I'm writing these days due to classes and reports I could find it easy to justify the high price for a worth while instrument. Not only would it be an item to pass thru from generation to generation but it would also be a testament to writing, which is dying off as we become more digitized.
