toomanywatches 0 Posted October 31, 2010 Having been inspired by Tanukjaju, decided to build my own version of 47mm Mini Egi/Submersible with Manual Conversion. Only having limited time to start the conversion, I repainted and lumed a spare DSN Egi dial that I turned down to fit. Also started with rough case reshape. Still have to work out how to modify spacing between crown tube and rehaut since the spacing for a manual movement is smaller than the present spacing for the Asian automatic that the watch comes with... Things left to do: -Order another Egi dial from NW, this time turned down to fit. -A lot more case reshaping. -Drilling and soldering of new crown tube with DSN Brevet crown -Tourby Vintage hands -Swiss 6497 with modified Movement ring/Rehaut extension -Replace Mineral Crystal with Plexi Original watch: After some preliminary reshaping of the case: Watch so far: Thanks for reading... SB56667 155 Posted July 8, 2011 I love it! You've inspired me! I'm going to order a base and do one of my own! What did you reshape the case with? Metal files?
myaz 3 Posted July 8, 2011 Congratulations on your project. Guts and resolve are needed to take that very first file to the case! I admire that.
