mkultra 0 Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) Yes, this is a noob questions. when i was on board before, it was the swiss movement that was the supposed best. reliable with the appearance of the sweep. I understand the swiss movement is going away so what is are the good movements now? for example, how is the 21j Edited November 1, 2010 by mkultra
KinCaidk 0 Posted November 1, 2010 the 21j is a pretty reliable movement, but it doesn't sweep in the same way as the "swiss"-ones. the 21j beats at 21600 bph and the "swiss" at 28800bph if you want the sweep then a clone/asian 2824 or 2836 is the way to go. KBH 7 Posted November 1, 2010 The Swiss movement isn't going away. They are already starting to replace the ETA movements with Sellita, which are every bit as good. Plus there will be some ETA's around for quite a while. Then of course, we still have the clone 2824-2, 2836-2, and 2892-2. I'm sure it won't be long before we see a clone 2893-2 GMT movement. And, IMO 21j will never replace the Swiss movements. Even the ETA clones are much better.
