I've always thought Seiko took horology seriously, from the very first La Salle that I bought in the 80;s, look at their innovations, the Kinetics, quartz powered by wrist movement, goes to sleep if unworn for 3 days, then you shake it, it wakes up and sets itself to the correct time, how cool is that, then you have the spring-drive, the most beautiful thing to behold, a sweep that defies all of Swissdom, great timepieces

Yes X, me too!

Beautiful watch, masterpiece of a MVT.

Grand Seikos are something to behold.

Funny they compared it to a vintage 1680 in the first vid. The dif would not have been that big compared to a modern high beat Rollie. Smoother yes, but not that much. Kinda cheap trick.

I am an avid Seiko fan and own several Seiko divers including :

1985 Seiko 6309-7049 (turtle)

1983 Seiko H558-5009 (Arnie)

1986 Seiko H558-5009 (Arnie)

2010 Seiko SKZ255 ( Franken Monster)

Still on my wish list is a Prospex Professional Marine Master

Fantastic watches and highly recommend to anyone who is even considering a Seiko, they are well known for their sub $400.00 watches, but the best stuff is sold in the domestic Japanese Market, but their vintage line of dive watches are highly regarded by their owners, such as the 6105 line or the 6306 and later 6309, 7002 and SKX-007
