_DC_ 218 Posted December 8, 2014 So I splashed out on some new parts for my beloved 5970. First up some new shoes from who else but Donerix. Black semi-gloss padded gator hide, in a ridiculous 21/18 size (thanks Patek). It's beautifully soft, comfortable and looks pure class. I also switched out the Stern clasp (buckle) for a Calatrava cross deployant as per the gen, courtesy of WatchFinder. Together they really complete this watch IMO: So that's the good. Onto the not so good. I bought a stunning gold Patek style rotor also from WatchFinder. It arrived and I was very pleased, best engraving I've ever seen. Whipped the case back off and fitted it, it looked the dogs danglies. Then I put the caseback back on and.... doh. It's too bloody thick and fouls the caseback. When I say fouls, I mean it's wedged tight against it and doesn't move at all!! Shame coz it looks awesome....
