Iceland in 18 Wristies (and a few others)

Recommended Posts

Last week me and my gf spent a few days in Iceland to visit the country. It's one of the most amazing coubntries I've seen, so I took a few pics for you guys!

Unfortunately I only brought 2 watches with me: a gen Seawolf Avenger Ti, and a rep Rolex 1675 GMT, so you'll see a lot of the same 2 watches, but the other pics are also nice :shooting:

Leaving from Charles-de-Gaulle on a rainy morning wearing the GMT.

Targeted marketing...? ^_^

Thingvellir national park. Marks the crest of the mid-atlatic ridge and home of the first parliament in history.

Had to rent a 4x4 because some of the roads are actually tracks :dunno:

Geysir, the location that gave its name to what you can see there: geysers

Gullfoss: means Golden Falls in Icelandic. At this time of the year it's mostly frozen, but pretty impressive anyway.

Hveragerdi, the city of flowers. It's pretty amazing to see greenhouses everywhere when the temperature goes down to -20°C! These are heated by hot water from volcanic hot springs.

Hamborgarabúlla Tómasar makes the best burgers in town, and maybe even tyhe best I ever ate. I guess it's not a surprise if all the foreign burger companies have left Iceland!

That's pretty much it, hope you enjoyed the pics :)

WOW...fabulous photographs...stunning scenery and, of course, great watch.!

Looks like you had a great time too.

Was that a natural hot pool/spring from the geyser? ooohh nice!

But, but...where is the GF's watch? :shooting:

If I ever go to Iceland...I will pay my respects to Bobby Fischer.

I once asked an Icelandic acquaintance of mine what there was to do in Iceland.

He replied:

"It depends on the time of year. In summer there's fishing and, of course, we have the most beautiful girls in the world, so there's also lots of fucking."

"In winter, ice seals up the harbours so there's no fishing...."

That is what I find so beautiful about Iceland. It is the quiet desolation that is so visually poetic. It's lunar terrain is majestic!

I fell in love with Iceland after I saw the Sigur Ros movie..Oh and every chick I saw in that video was hot..even the fat ones!

Thanks a lot guys, it was wonderfull indeed.

The countryside really feels like you're at one end of the world, and Reyjavick is a chaming little town where you eat remarkabely well (and not only burger!). We had dinner at a restaurant called "The Fish Company" where both chefs were awarded best chefs of Iceland. All the dishes were incredible, and it wasn't as pricey as we thought.

About, the gf is stll wearing her banged up Nixon Siren, so there is not to photograph there :shooting:

The lagoon is 2/3 sea water and 1/3 fresh water coming from the volcano hot springs.

Thank you for the great pictures.

I visited Iceland in July a few years ago and enjoyed it very much; it is quite beautiful.

As you or someone mentioned, Icelandic women are the most beautiful I've ever seen.
