THNL 0 Posted January 18, 2015 Can anyone tell me from which trader or manufacturer i can buy replicas that are very very old. For example the omega seamaster de ville 1960s?
RichardMiami 4 Posted January 18, 2015 Welcome to the Forum. There is no easy answer to your question, as the TDs do not generally hold stock on watches. About the only thing you can do is send pics of the exact watches you want and email them to the dealers... Good luck. When you have a moment, wander over to the New Members section and introduce yourself!
conx 0 Posted January 18, 2015 Often, the old ones are in the bin Seriously though - Richard nailed it, send and email to a dealer who can search the market to see if an older version is still available.
black263 228 Posted January 18, 2015 For REALLY old replicas, M2M is your only hope. Many of the members will have old watches and not bother posting them for sale, so an entry in the "Want to Buy" may be more productive than hogging the Sales area and hoping they come up. RussP 22,686 Posted January 20, 2015 That Rolex is a shocker. It belongs in a museum, or institutionalised or something.
trailboss99 997 Posted January 20, 2015 Ah, me thinks he meant reps of vintage watches guys, not vintage reps
fellowsis 1 Posted January 20, 2015 (edited) If you want REALLY old, take a look on chrono 24. They have some cracking omegas (gen) for silly prices. 50's and 60's. Granted a deville may be out of that range but just set your price range low. Been looking at a 60's seamaster dress watch for around 350 for some time now... OLDBLOKE74 7,122 Posted January 20, 2015 Genuine Omega Seamaster Deville's and similar watches from the 1960's can be bought for the price of a good modern rep I have bought a few from eBay, junk shops etc, and this guy, who guarantees his watches and has a very informative website http://www.poshtime.com/index.php here are a few of mine... gen speedy gen seamaster gen ultrachron all bought cheaper than top rep
trailboss99 997 Posted January 20, 2015 Nice site, thanks for posting.
wdev 0 Posted January 20, 2015 Tanks for the informative site. I like your seamaster. Correct that the prices on those are very approachable, you can get a gen for under $200 (if you are lucky). I especially like the black dialed seamaster deville (made famous again by Don Draper) but to find one in this state will set you back around $900 at least. They are quite rare
black263 228 Posted January 20, 2015 Nice site, thanks for posting. But an Invicta for £340!!
