Turned cigar box into Watchbox

Recommended Posts

RUSH2112

First, big thanks to cogwatch for getting me over a couple of hurdles namely how he built the partitions for his watch drawer and how he made the pillows for the watches. This is a trial run. I bought a humidor from ebay which I'm going to convert based on what I learned from this and I'll probably give this to a friend. The humidor will be much taller than this box allowing it to accomodate panerai and watches with larger straps.

Very nice. If it weren´t for customs restrictions this would be the ideal travelbox.

Nice

Simple solution from available materials

'le salvager' would approve ;)

Reminds me of the Lidl 'Teaboxes' :

Simple pipe lagging inserts

Or Rolls Royce'd up (+ proper pillows):

Reminds me I bought 5 or 6 of these on a whim way back when (never took out of the wrapping :giggle: )

Though I saw these make and appearance now n then in the same outlets, surprised no one 'gave it large' and went for it:

A bit of stain and varnish , wall mounted, 50/60 reps...I reckon would look good

This gives me some killer ideas!

By trade, I make custom furniture for people. Now I have to figure out how many watches I want to toss in there! :)

Maybe 10 or so will get me started ;)
