This is the brain child of a small design firm in the US who put the idea up on KickStart in the hope of raising $15,000 to get the manufacture off the ground. In the first few days they have raised almost $220, 000! The counter changes every time you re-fresh, it's amazing how many folk are getting in on the ground floor with a pre-order (the fund raising method in use here). Two days ago they had raised $7850, overnight that night it featured in Gizmodo.com and by morning it was at 70k The current rate of investment (for want of a better word) is around 1k a minute! NOTHING like this has ever happened before in the history of project funding, marketing or design. All these fields have just changed dramiticly over night.
