ghardy 0 Posted November 23, 2010 What are the criteria for an "ultimate" and how do you identify a rep. as an ultimate? I am new, and several members have recommended purchasing an ultimate, as I am looking for the best possible Panerai, but do not see watches listed as "ultimate" ? Thanks for any advice? AllergyDoc 40 Posted November 23, 2010 It's nothing more than a marketing term dealers use to sell more watches. The best Panerai reps are sold by DSN, or Davidsen. He's not a dealer here but is on the other 3 fora. He makes his own parts and the watches are, generally, superlumed. If you want the best "out of the box", without making modifications yourself, Davidsen is the go-to guy. Expect to pay $325-450. Other dealers have some remarkably good PAMs they sell for peanuts but it's hit-and-miss.
