IronBoy 0 Posted February 19, 2015 I have a Vac modded AP DIver and a Domi modded AP 44 Panda both with double AR. They are both fantastic. Pictures of the watches seem like there really are no crystals! But I noticed that if I try hard enough and get a glare from them the Vac double AR has a purple hue while the Domi AR has a yellow green hue. Initially thought it was due to the Diver having a black dial and the Panda a predominantly white dial. But they really have different hues after double checking. My question is what is the better AR if their grades are different? Doesn't make any difference when you look at them because as I said both are fantastic. I just want to know. Don't have any experience with profsteves famous double AR yet I wonder what the hue is. Thanks in advance for your comments. IB Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
black263 228 Posted February 19, 2015 I've never liked AR on the outside of the crystal. The AR coating is much more fragile than the sapphire, and although the sapphire resists scratch incredibly well, the AR can show marks. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
