21J datewheel overlay

Recommended Posts

kennycoder

Got my regmariner today and the datewheel overlay is couple of degrees misaligned. Drives me mad as you can imagine. I saw couple of threads over here (ty LightGeek).. but all for 2824 and 2836 movements. Has anyone performed DW de-glueing / alignment on a 21j? If so, what to watch out for?

I'll try fixing this today/tomorrow and will post some pics anyway.

Thanks in advance.

Remove the DWO from the DW, clean/etch away all traces of glue/print from them both, and then use slow cure adhesive, this will give you plenty of time to manipulate the DWO into position whilst trial fitting the dial, removing it to manipulate more, and refit etc.

Well tried removing a few, always messing up the movement in the process ;-) Always loose those little springs and the screws of that plate are too small ;-)
