Crown fell off on Rolex Explorer II

Recommended Posts

Hello Rwg,

2 months ago I bought an Explorer II from Andrew. Everything has been fine with the watch until yesterday when I was going to set the time and the crown fell off. But then I was able to screw it back in and everything is now working as it used to. But have I really fixed the problem by just screwing it in right position, or do I need glue etc to fix it properly? Because to me the watch is fine now, but it seems weird that I fixed the problem by just screwing it back on again. So is this really how you fix the crown problem properly?

Thank you :)

If it comes off again you might want to put some Loc-Tite on the stem threads where they go into the crown.(not the tube!)
