MetalMickey 179 Posted March 20, 2015 I think he means the link, which is a full dissassemble of a BP Sub-C. I was kind enough to click on and copy and paste two links from my Google search
Duzza 182 Posted March 20, 2015 The link is to a ceramic sub, mine is a 16610
Genius 281 Posted March 20, 2015 I think he means the link, which is a full dissassemble of a BP Sub-C. I was kind enough to click on and copy and paste two links from my Google search Ah makes sense now, I was too lazy to click the link just looked at the picture, picture is the old TC type You may need a crystal / caseback press to get it back on tightly, I've got one somewhere that I havn't used in years that you could borrow if I can find it lol
Duzza 182 Posted March 20, 2015 I have a press, just dont know what order to assemble the parts. Im guessing the gasket goes over the opening in the watch. But then does the crystal sit on top and then the retainer forced over it? Or do you fit the retainer and then the crsytal with the press?
Genius 281 Posted March 20, 2015 I think there should be 2 gaskets one for the crystal one for the retainer, so it goes gasket - Crystal - gasket - retainer, that's how the expanded diagram shows it
Duzza 182 Posted March 20, 2015 Expanded diagram is for a ceramic sub the 16610 only has 1 gasket
Genius 281 Posted March 20, 2015 It definitely says 16610 on the bottom and shows the old click spring
Genius 281 Posted March 20, 2015 I have seen a photo of the crystal sat in the retainer ring but off the watch so I think they may go together first, is that ring solid metal or is there a plastic gasket stuck in the inside edge?
MetalMickey 179 Posted March 20, 2015 Can't you just leave the Crystal off and call it 'modded'? That way you can change the time without having to unscrew the crown
