HELP!!! TC Crystal HELP!!

Recommended Posts

Genius
Can't you just leave the Crystal off and call it 'modded'?

That way you can change the time without having to unscrew the crown

 You could tell everyone it's a new triple AR coating

Gasket goes in first, the crystal gets pressed down into it from the top.

I dotn think that can be right, as the crystal just forces the gasket out, I think they need going on the case and then the retainer goes over the top?

The crystal should snap into the gasket. Push the crystal/gasket onto the watch case, align the cyclops, then use the press to push the retaining ring down over the entire assembly.

In case you're wondering....this is how it looks when you don't take apart a new TC LV.....07011afd63c60e3197749503962f5637.jpg362067ca30fe529502f70c26c7a9987e.jpg

Similarly, warm the case up to around 37 degrees C. I say that, because it's the temp you get if you keep it in an inside pocket next to your skin. That way, you know you won't cook the watch. Warm watch, cold crystal.

Good luck in getting it back together, there´s a crystal on m2m should You need it. Than pics of Your pearl please.

Thanks for the post, learned not to mess around with the domed crystals on the 5512/5513 to change them for a flat Clarks, guess I would never get it back together - and I don´t have a press anyway - unless I use the anvil in the garage.

I know it's hard to get a good focus on the pearl....the pictures don't actually do it justice in my opinion. It's better than it looks.
