Slim 0 Posted January 11, 2011 Fair enough! I like the flat crystals on more recent Rolexes but I do think domed crystals look the part on an older watch.
Akira 0 Posted January 11, 2011 Everyone likes the vintage Rolexes, but why the hack isn't there a good rep of the 14060. It's vintage....early 90's and a great looking watch. Really bums me out Great watches you guys have
KBH 7 Posted January 11, 2011 My vintage Gmt that Rolexaddict serviced, water-proofed it and he also took the doomed crystal off and replaced it with an flat genuine one and this is my alltime favourite for sure. Just curious: why did you want a flat crystal on a vintage-looking GMT? they make both for vintage Rollies. I couldn't tell you the different Tropic numbers without looking them up, but both are acceptable. I kind of like the flat better myself. Thats because these older GMTs came with this tye of crystal....some of the dealer reps have domes, but the gens had cyclops - mainly 118 and 116's.
randy3y 0 Posted January 11, 2011 http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?ma...products_id=601 Not certain how good this one is but this dealer has a few not date subs. I believe he is a trusted dealer on another site. Everyone likes the vintage Rolexes, but why the hack isn't there a good rep of the 14060. It's vintage....early 90's and a great looking watch. I had no idea there was ever a flat Rolex acrylic crystal. Mine (gen 16750) is slightly domed. I'd thought that flat crystals only came in with the sapphire.
